Award-winning, inviting and unusual, Blue Duck Tavern is an extraordinary example of American cuisine at its very best. Savor wholesome American fare prepared through simple, time-honored cooking methods such as roasting, braising, preserving and smoking, while the relaxing atmosphere of our Tony Chi designed-tavern evokes the warmth and convivial setting of a residential kitched. Hailed as one the best Georgetown restaurants, Blue Duck Tavern’s market-based, seasonal menu embodies the boldness and flavors of our nation's historic and natural attributes.

Touches of dark oak, blue burlap, handcrafted furnishings and heavy, uncovered wood tables keep the restaurant warm and contemporary, offering a welcoming dining experience for lunch, dinner or weekend Brunch.

Tea Cellar
Discover the fine art of tea at our exclusive Tea Cellar. Featuring more than 50 rare and limited production, single-estate teas from remote regions of China, Japan, Sri Lanka and the Himalayas, the Tea Cellar not only introduces guests to the highest quality of tea, but also shares the significance of water temperature and steeping time each tea requires. Allow our Tea Sommelier to lead you through a tasting of sophisticated tea offerings, some of which are at the level of flavor and complexity of fine wines. From proprietary blends to vintage Pu-Erh, the exotic selections and pairings available introduce guests’ palates to the subtle nuances in flavor and taste of high-end teas.
Unique in the United States for its menu and offerings, the Tea Cellar features the deepest inventory of rare Pu-Erh in the country with vintages ranging from 1949 to 2003. The Pu-Erh teas are stored and aged in a glass tea humidor at the entrance to the Tea Cellar while a lit display of tea blossoms that flower when steeped in water is the visual focal point of the space.
Each afternoon, the Tea Cellar offers a delectable Tea Table, filled with irresistible pastries that perfectly complement flight of white tea or any of the numerous tea selections. Additionally, tea tastings are offered for small, intimate events, along with selections of iced tea and tea cocktails. Upon request, the hotel’s tea expert can provide an educational experience about tea, its production and flavor nuances.
